Watson Children’s Shelter is widely known by social workers, collaborating partners, and the community for its excellent staff, facilities, and programming. We implement best-practice outcome focused approaches with an eye to continual improvement in delivering services to children and families. Direct care shelter program staff persons are certified in First Aid, CPR, de-escalation techniques, and receive over 30 hours of annual training. All of our professional staff hold four-year college degrees and our supervisors possess master’s degrees in related fields. We recruit and retain staff who are committed to our mission and strive to fulfill it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
