“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
One of these is roots; the other, wings.”

–Hodding Carter

When children leave Watson Children’s Shelter, they take with them lasting life lessons and experiences. Each child is taught responsibility, manners, basic hygiene, courtesy and respect, social skills, and most importantly, to enjoy being a child. Children take with them experiences that include swimming lessons, camping trips, bowling, museums, movies, Grizzly athletic games, musicals, and many other positive experiences.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, every child leaves Watson Children’s Shelter with clothes, toys, books, blankets, and most importantly, hope for a brighter future.
