Thank you for participating in the 23rd annual Bike For Shelter!
Watson Children’s Shelter 23rd annual Bike For Shelter event at Community Medical Center was a HUGE success!
The FREE community event looked a little different this year with no official bike ride, BUT participants were still encouraged to ride their bikes to the event.
We had a great time cooking up food, playing on bouncy houses, rising in the bike rodeo, listening to music, and more!
Bike for Shelter was established in 2001 as a signature event for Watson Children's Shelter with three goals: 1) to provide a fun, family-oriented event; 2) to enlighten the community about the essential service that the Shelter provides for children; and 3) to raise needed funds for Watson Children's Shelter.
Bike for Shelter normally offers an 10-mile neighborhood bike ride, a new extended 20-mile course to Traveler’s Rest State Park and a 2-mile fun-loop. During the 2023 year, we decided to shake it up!
Participants enjoyed a free barbecue lunch, while listening to music on the lawn of Community Medical Center, followed by kid-friendly activities, games, and concessions!
This event could not happen without our many wonderful volunteers and sponsors.
